Sudiru – Renaissance
En langue miyakoane, parlée dans le sud-ouest d’Okinawa, Sudiru signifie « renaissance ».
Cet ouvrage réunit le folkloriste et prêtre du temple Keisho Okamoto (1938–2024) et son petit-fils, l’artiste calligraphe Daichiro Shinjo.
À travers les photographies inédites d’Okamoto sur les rituels ancestraux de Miyako et la calligraphie contemporaine de Shinjo, Sudiru esquisse un dialogue vivant entre passé et présent, esprit et forme.
Avec des textes de Takanori Shimamura, Naoki Ishikawa, et une préface de l’artiste.

Sudiru – Rebirth
In the Miyakoan language of southwest Okinawa, Sudiru means “rebirth.” This book brings together folklorist and temple priest Keisho Okamoto (1938–2024) and his grandson, calligraphy artist Daichiro Shinjo.
Through Okamoto’s unpublished photographs of Miyako’s ancestral rituals and Shinjo’s contemporary calligraphy, Sudiru traces a living dialogue between past and present, spirit and form.
