An afternoon tea stand made of copper with two Japanese cedar trays. In order to give more colors to the copper, it has been deeply discolored by the craftsmen. The copper is untreated so you will be able to enjoy the change in color and texture over the years.
It can be folded to a compact size for storing.The trays are made of Akita cedar, each crafted carefully by craftsmen from Hiromae, in Akita Prefecture. The soft parts of the wood are cut and polished, the wood grain stands out beautifully through the technique of uzukuri.
• This handmade product is unique and may have slight differences between each product in terms of colour, pattern, shape and size.
• Do not use in a conventional oven, microwave or induction cooker.
• Do not use directly on a flame.
• After each use, rinse with water using a soft sponge. Do not put in the dishwasher. Do not use household products, abrasive or metal sponges.
• After cleaning, air dry thoroughly. If you wish to store it, do not stack it with other objects to avoid possible scratches.
• For maintenance, wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry with a dry cloth to embellish the surface. This way, the colour shades will deepen over time.
• Avoid shocks and friction.
• As soon as a crack appears, put out of use to avoid unexpected breakage.
