Sometsuke porcelain plate (24,24cm). We simply arranged the traditional patterns and applied a technique of imprinting. Its texture is a reproduction from Old Imari style, appearing the iron powder (black spots) on the glaze. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, including tableware.

Wakumon

Many of the Old Imari plates are elliptical and divided into arches. Usually a fine design is given inside the oval shape but we have made them into a contemporary style by painting in a solid color.

Tamamusubimon
Designed from the logo of Sゝゝ and a motif of a "knitting pattern" that looks like it is made from just one string.
One side of the string goes back around the plate.

Kozaramon
The plate is designed as if a small plate is transposed on a larger plate. The pattern is an already existing motif from a certain plate.

Karakusamon
A modern design using karakusa pattern applied in only one part of the plate.

Kikkomon
The yabure kikko is a transformation of the tsunagi pattern which consists of connecting cracks at several points. We only used one part of the yabure kikko in this plate.
